Thank you for your interest in the University of Colorado Boulder Student Ambassador program! We are excited that you are considering joining us in our goal of positively representing the CU-Boulder campus while welcoming and guiding our campus guests.
Please make sure to submit BOTH parts of your application before 11:59 PM on September 13th, 2017!
If you have any questions please email our secretary, Nishellie Navaratne, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: Is this a paid position?
A: No, this is a student volunteer position. However, we do reward our outstanding Student Ambassadors with leadership positions, professional development opportunities, off campus retreats, CU-Boulder gear and apparel, public speaking training and a chance to bond with other students.
Q: What is the time commitment?
A: We ask that each Student Ambassador lead at least one, 90 minute tour each week. One Saturday tour per semester, as well as various “special visits” are also required of each volunteer! As an organization, we do hold meetings for training and development; these are also required. The average Student Ambassador commits two to three hours per week to the organization.
Q: How many students are in the group?
A: While the size of our group fluctuates by year, it is generally between 80-100 students.
Q: I’m not involved in anything else. Can I still join ambassadors?
A: YES! We encourage everyone who loves this school to apply. If this is your first student group/activity – no worries.
Q: Can graduate students apply?
A: Unfortunately we only accept undergraduate students for this position.
Q: Can upperclassmen apply?
A: Yes, however we do ask you commit to at least four on campus semesters as a Student Ambassador (one semester of training and three full semesters of work). Please note that a semester of study abroad does not count as an on campus semester.
